About the Beneficiaries:

Day Care Justice Co-Op is a multi-racial, multilingual, non-profit,
membership organization of licensed family childcare providers in the
Providence area that seeks to improve the lives of providers who primarily
serve low-income children. The organization acts as an agent so that
provider members cannot be exploited nor their work devalued by the state,
other child-care providers and the community at large.

Womens Advocates Networking Together proudly presents
the 2nd Annual International Womens Day Festival

The performance stage is from 2pm-midnight, follwed by DJ Madame Bovary and special guest. Featuring Multicultural dancers, Bands, Singer/songwriters, Comics, Poets, Theatre, and more! Including performances by Lori Amey, Christine Hajjar, Betty Finn, Optic Lock, Rhode Island Theatre Ensemble, Daily Mouse (from Worcester), Del Cielo (from DC), Maria Ventura & Joel Thibodeau, Marissa Nadler, Jenn Kitten, Spyce, Allysen Callery, and more!

Interactive Workshops from 2-4pm & 5-7pm. Including Tai Chi, Alternative Parenting, Hurricane Alice Writing, Do Your Own Zine, Deaf Culture, Healing Earth, Food Choices & health, and more!

The Panel Discussion on Redefining/Detoxifying Feminism and Spreading the Universal Effects of Sexism will be held from 4-5pm. This portion of the event will have Spanish transalation & Sign Language Interpretation. With Dr. Ella Saketau, medicine woman of the Narragansett Tribe; Gigi Colson, founder of the Institute for Poverty Awareness & Education in Woonsocket,
RI; Jeff Gellman, owner of Miko Exoticwear, a feminist run adult store in Providence; Jane Lancaster, author, history professor.

The Gallery show, themed "Mother", will have an opening on Friday, March 7th from 6-8pm at Rising Sun Mills. This will be followed by an installation of the Providence Womens Film Festival, to be held at the Dirt Palace (14 Olneyville Square).

Light snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day, with a buffet dinner from 7-8pm. There will also be a crafts table, info table, tarot readings, healing body workers, clothes swap, and more!
