Billy Hinsche, a member of The Beach Boys touring band for more than 25 years, will screen his film ‘1974 - On the Road with The Beach Boys’ at the 2010 Pawtucket, RI Arts Film Festival. The screening will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm at the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center, 175 Main Street in Pawtucket, RI. Hinsche will also conduct a Q&A and perform an acoustic set following each screening. An after-party and jam session with Hinsche will be held at The Comfort Inn, 2 George St. in Pawtucket, RI at 10 pm immediately following the film’s screenings (so bring your acoustic instruments). Hinsche’s ‘On the Road‘ was filmed on location during the Beach Boys’ April and May tours of 1974, and features core original members Mike Love, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Al Jardine, and Ricky Fataar, with appearances by backing band members Hinsche, Ed Carter, Carli Muñoz, Bobby Figueroa, manager Jim Guercio, and others.
